GyroPower

The Michell Gyropower (most notably the vintage Gyropower QC and general Gyropower AC units) is an upgraded outboard power supply designed for J.A. Michell Engineering turntables like the GyroDec.

Key Features & Design

• Quartz Control (QC): The Gyropower QC is a second-generation active power supply that synthesizes two quartz-clocked sine waves via dual power amplifiers. 

• Speed Management: It delivers a precise, ultra-stable 50Hz feed and features push-button electronic speed changing (33/45 RPM), removing the need for manual belt-and-pulley adjustments. 

• Performance Benefits: By replacing standard or basic wall-wart power sources, it significantly cuts down motor hum and physical vibration, sharpens stereo image focus, widens the soundstage, and improves bass dynamics.
