Real wood exterior with a high density wood fiber base provides a solid, resonance free platform for the low noise Thorens bearing system and a 5 lb., non-magnetic, precision machined platter. The AC synchronous motor is coupled to the platform with a Thorens precision belt drive system thus reducing the transfer of noise and vibration to the music. The TP40 tonearm features photo sensor auto shutoff to prevent unintended stylus wear when the music takes you elsewhere. Available in piano lacquer Mahogany, the TD295MKIV comes complete with an Audio-Technica AT95E phono cartridge installed and ready to delight your senses.
