The JXR6 HD is the descendent of the original 50mm Module. Thirty years of continuous development has resulted in the world's widest range 2" driver with a frequency response from 80Hz to 27kHz. This unit is capable of matching the fastest ribbon or electrostatic transducer.

The JXR6 HD is capable of operating singly or in stacked arrays and covers the range from 100Hz to beyond 30kHz. With today's interest in high resolution audio systems, this unit is capable of reaching ultra-sonic frequencies without the need for costly super-tweeters (most of which lack the resolving power of the JXR6 HD).

The JXR6 HD enables system design which places the crossover at 120Hz or below, well outside the sensitive mid to high frequencies.

This exciting new driver is the long-awaited successor to the Jordan JX53. It is the world's widest bandwidth 2 inch driver and represents the leading edge of moving cone driver design. It is the culmination of Ted Jordan's 50 years of experience in the field. The JXR6 HD features the unique Jordan Controflex metal cone in an improved suspension which allows this unit to effortlessly cover the range 100Hz to 30kHz. The resonant frequency of this unit is 80Hz which allows a single unit, in a 1 litre, totally enclosed box, to form the basis for a superb, satellite/sub-bass system. Matched to a suitable powered woofer such as those from MJ Acoustics, a truly discrete, high end, audiophile sound or home cinema system is now possible for the first time. The JXR6 HD cone sits in a highly advanced chassis. This is constructed of a specialised compound of plastic and polycarbonate, unique to us. It is extremely rigid and resonance-absorbing, making it a very stable, small driver platform. The leadout wires are incorporated into the chassis design, making assembly into cabinets very easy. Manufactured in a specialised facility, the whole unit has a precision camera feel to it. The JXR6 HD driver may also be used in multiple arrays, facilitated by the rectangular chassis. To achieve this, the conventional rear suspension has been omitted and the system resonant frequency and 'Q' values are set primarily by the acoustic suspension provided by the volume of air enclosed within a small box. This technique also provides a significant reduction in low frequency distortion.
