ISOTone Rega kit The ISOtone loom is a continuous run from cartridge to RCA plugs. There are four continuous wires and for the last 1.2m of their length sheathed in a conductive shield and a strong plastic braid. The four signal wires are not connected to any other part of the loom, while a fifth wire serves as ground connection, being connected to the cable's shield and to the main arm structure itself. The signal RCA plugs again connect only each to two of the signal wires, not touching ground or shield. This configuration means that the rewire kit contrary to the original Rega wiring, allows you to run the cartridge floating, in a pseudo-balanced way Using one single length of silver plated copper wire from the cartridge pins to the high quality non magnetic phono plugs ( 4 silver plated copper cores and one copper earth) The wires are sheathed in a combination of PTFE, Kynar , steel braid and PET braid to ensure great signal flow and screening. The Rega kit consists of the cable terminated at the output end with bare wires at the cartridge end o allow the cable to travel through the arm tube. Also supplied are 4 cartridge clips with heat shrink coloured markers, allen keys, draw wire and our special high silver content ISOweld solder
