ME Integrated Amplifier
Do not be misled by the diminutive size of the ME 240. Its incredible performance is typical of larger and very much more expensive amplifiers. The ME 240 has inherited the technological refinements of its stable mates. As such, it delivers much of the extraordinary sound quality, dynamics, purity and reality, that is the hallmark of all ME amplifiers.
The ME 240 was born out of the relentless requests from Music Enthusiasts and ME Distributors for an Integrated Amplifier encompassing ME design philosophies. Our answer to these requests, the ME 240, coincides with the recent popularity of line level signal sources, such as C.D., DAT, Video etc. An optional independent Phono Preamp can be added to the system if required.
The ME 240 features the ability to bridge the two output channels together, converting the ME 240 from an 80 watt stereo amplifier into a 220 watt mono amplifier. Bridging enables ME 240 owners to effectively upgrade their systems, simply by purchasing an ME 200, thus almost trebling the available power, 2 X 220 watts.
Inputs and outputs are via high quality gold RCA standard sockets and gold banana sockets. The quality of construction is uncommon for amplifiers of both this size and power, conferring the confidence of a lifetime of quality ownership. The amplifier's sophisticated cooling system extracts the warm air from within a typical Music System Cabinet and expels it via the access holes normally provided for wiring. This cooling effect will significantly prolong the life of all other electronic components, records and tapes that are stored within the cabinet.
The ME 240 heritage is further augmented by its innovative options, features and facilities to establish it convincingly as a worthy carrier of the ME logo.

Remote volume - infrared controlled volume can be ordered with your ME 240. This is option R.
High Capacitance option - this is an additional 60,000uF Energy Storage Matrix Module which brings the total capacitance to 102,000uF, improving bass control and Imaging. Recommended, especially for larger speaker systems. This is option C.
