With single 1/2" hole or SME type mounting, this arm is as easy to install as it it is to use, an important aspect of arm performance, since some tonearms are so complex to set up that you may never realise their full potential.   ALT-1 has a moulded carbon fibre headshell with gold plated computer pin terminals, locked in place by a magnesium screw to retain the low mass, high rigidity characteristics demanded of high quality tonearms yet still retaining the convenience of a detachable headshell.
