Decibel Hi Fi is the Australian and New Zealand agent for EJ Jordan Designs range of metal coned loudspeaker driver units. We do not supply them outside of this area, but the enclosure kits can be sent anywhere in the world.

In 2007 the EJJordan business was purchased by Esoteric Audio Designs, a Swedish company specializing in ribbon tweeters. Ted Jordan remained involved in a senior consulting role. Recently it has been announced that Ted Jordan has formed a collaboration with Lowther Loudspeakers Ltd in order to return the manufacturing of his latest drivers to the U.K. The drivers currently in stock are from EAD and therefore the model numbers have been changed to identify that manufacturer.

Ted Jordan is regarded as "The Father of Full Range" speakers and has been developing his drivers for nearly 50 years. There are currently 4 models. The JX92 is a 4" full range driver, and the new JXr6 HD is the world's widest range 2" driver. The JX125 is a 6 inch bass/mid driver, and the JX150 is an 8" bass driver.

These provide the simplest way of achieving a stunning stereo pair or suberb home cinema or multi room sound system throughout a home, restaurant, foyer etc.

As well as selling the drivers by themselves for enthusiasts to experiment with their own enclosure designs we are producing cabinet kits based on the designs published by Ted Jordan on his website. The standard kits are made from moisture resistant MDF. We also have solid timber kits available in a variety of timbers, such as Jarrah, Tasmanian Oak, River Red Gum, Rosewood. These kits enable you to easily produce a beautiful natural timber gloss finish. There is also a new review by Hi Fi News of the MJ Acoustics S1R loudspeakers (JX92S TL) which sell in Australia for over $6000.

	New version of the JX92 Product Code: E100HD The E100 HD looks exactly the same as the E100, from the outside, which is deliberate to make it an easy upgrade in previous designs. The E100 HD matches the standard E100 parameters close enough to just replace the driver in your current design. The main difference is in the high frequency, starting from 3Khz and up. 	Another new version of the JX92 Product Code: E100HD+ The E100 HD+ looks exactly the same as the 100, from the outside, which is deliberate to make it an easy upgrade in previous designs. The main difference from E100 HD is the higher sensitivity (88.3dB) and lower Qt (0.383). The main difference from the std. E100 is in the high frequency, starting from 3Khz and up. This is the big brother of the amazing JX125NG, a stunning performer spanning from 25 to 8 kHz making it a good match for the JXR6HD in a 2 way system. We dare to say that this is most likely one of the best wideband 8” units on the market. One thing that sets this woofer apart is the unique chassis, made from acoustically dead composite. The new dual voice coil assembly makes it possible for you to match it to any preferred cabinet solution. The dual voice coil also makes the driver very suitable in a line array in various combinations. Used in conjunction with a first order crossover, they provide a seamless, step free sound quality throughout the audio spectrum.
